If Dwight Howard returns to the NBA this season, it won’t be with the Warriors.
After a two-day go to with Golden State, the Warriors have opted towards signing the free agent middle, in keeping with Shams Charania of Stadium.
“The Warriors are not expected to sign Dwight Howard or another veteran center ahead of training camp,” Charania mentioned in a report on Friday. “Howard had a two-day visit with the Warriors this week that included meetings and workouts, but the Warriors are expected now to maintain flexibility to sign a potential big man later in camp or into the regular season.”
Charania added that he expects Howard to talk with another groups a couple of potential return to the NBA over the following week or so.
Howard, who turns 38 in December, final performed within the NBA with the Lakers in 2021. In 60 appearances in Los Angeles that season, Howard averaged 6.2 factors and 5.9 rebounds per sport.
Howard spent final season in Taiwan, the place he averaged 23.2 factors, 16.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per sport for the Taoyuan Leopards.
